As a student in ARH 270: Introduction to Ancient Art in Greek and Roman Mural Painting and Floor Mosaic, I have developed a greater understanding of art in the ancient Mediterranean world, in regards to ancient Rome and Greece. For the Fall 2016 semester, some of the knowledge that I have gained includes being able to visually analyze a work of art in its historical context. For instance, I have learned to visualize the artwork, This includes, but is not limited to style, technique, relation to previous art forms, colors, and the cultural context used in the artwork. Through analyzing the work of art, a viewer can also start to understand the significance of the artwork to the ancient Greeks and Romans. An example of this can be seen in the usage and importance of Greek mythology. Greek Mythology: In the ancient Greek artwork, the term muthos (ÃŽÅ"ÃŽ ¥ÃŽËœÃŽÅ¸ÃŽ £) is often used to describe myth. Teens participating in sport activities have become more active, however, this does not prevent them from staying out of trouble. These activities require lots of training and contain many games in the season. During the ages of thirteen to seventeen, many teens develop changes in their behavior and dreams of having their freedom. Teens who have behavior problems are affected the most and they would do drastic and dramatic things in these years. The ends of the steel are then smoothened using the sanding belt to create a glossy sheen to make the axe good on the job. How to make Pencils Color pencils come in a variety of shades but the he product process begins with a pigment concentration that determines the quality. The colored pencil does not contain any lead but contains pigments, minerals and binding agents. Colored pencils starts with a combination of pigments every shade has a specific pigment recipe. What I Learned in Mexico Essay On December 17 I went to Mexico to visit my dads family who lives in La Ladera Michoacan. Its a small town where everyone knows each other and is about 15 minutes away from the main city called Zamora. I stayed in Mexico for 3 weeks and it opened my eyes to a lot of things. In Mexico, there are many things that are different from the United States. The houses that they built are made from brick and usually built by the family that is going to be living in it. The people are very conservative and reuse anything they can. Also you cant turn on the faucet and get water forever, every day water comes from a pipe and fills up our house basin which we call a pila. Then theres another pipe from the basin to the roof to a big water jug which goes to the shower. Once we run out of water from the basin then we cant wash clothes , wash dishes, take showers, do nothing that involves water until the next day then the water refills the basin again. Also whenever there was a wedding there was no inviting only people you wanted, anyone who wanted to come could and you didnt have to give gifts to them. It was weird because we would go to the weddings and we barely knew anybody but they would still serve us food and let us in the wedding. The food in Mexico was really good and made the trip 100 times better. Usually in the morning for breakfast they make a strawberry smoothie and to eat they cut potatoes into small cubes and would fry them with a little bit of chili and tomato sauce till the potatoes are soft. Then they would serve them with homemade corn tortillas and Mexican cheese. Also we went to a really expensive restaurant and Carne Asada with refried beans and a salad with a Coca-Cola. The Carne Asada was delicious and I think one of the best carne Asadas Ive ever had. The price for my plate was 150 pesos which is about 13 dollars which is not bad in the United States but over there they only get payed 150 pesos for one full day of work. Lastly I think my trip wasnt that bad, I had Wifi at my house so I didnt die and we also had cable with lots of cartoons. I think now that Im older it got more boring because when I was younger I would play with all the kids from the town all day till it was 10 pm. I feel like I look at our house in the United States and see how much we take things for granted. We get as much water as we want, we use washers for cleaning our dishes instead of hand washing every day. Also our clothes are a lot nicer than theirs because they hand was their clothes and hang them up to air dry which takes hours instead of just throwing it in the washer and then the dryer. I think it was a good experience for me and it will forever stay with me and whenever I think I have it hard and I dont get something I want I will be reminded how some kids have nothing and have to work instead of going to school.
